Case Study · Family Entertainment

Demand outgrew the building.

GLO Mini Golf hired Swimm as its marketing team, not as a vendor. More than six years and well over a million dollars in managed ad spend later, one location has become two, and we still run every channel.

The engagement.

GLO Mini Golf opened in Riverside with a genuinely different product: blacklight mini golf, arcade, escape rooms and VR under one roof. They came to Swimm Social for a marketing team that would own the whole funnel, not a vendor that ran one channel and pointed at the others when something slipped. Six years on, Swimm still runs every channel for both locations.

Challenges identified.

1

Families choose their weekend from a hundred options. GLO needed to reach the right ones at the right moment, and make the visit feel worth planning, in a market where everyone else is shouting too.

2

Almost all of GLO’s revenue happens at the counter. That makes attribution genuinely hard, and it tempts most agencies to either claim everything or measure nothing.

3

A second location in San Bernardino meant a new trade area with no reputation in it, a launch window that only happens once, and an original location that could not be allowed to dip while attention moved.

In their words

“Swimm Social marketing is ahead of its time. Sidney’s marketing techniques are on the cutting edge of technology. With website, social and off-line communication capabilities Swimm Social was able to connect me with customers at every level. Our revenue has grown year-over-year largely due to Swimm Social’s marketing techniques.”

The strategic approach.

01

Every channel under one owner

Paid search and paid social on both platforms, social content and community management, the website, local SEO and the blog, the party booking experience and the tracking underneath all of it. When one team runs everything, the campaign, the page it lands on and the booking flow are designed together instead of blaming each other.

02

Search and social campaigns built for in-person revenue

Campaigns pointed at the actions that actually lead to a visit, not vanity clicks, with year-round always-on coverage plus seasonal pushes for parties, school breaks and holidays. Six figures a year in ad spend, reported honestly about what can and cannot be traced.

03

Launching the second location

We ran San Bernardino from the coming soon campaign onward and kept both locations growing after it, with separate campaigns, separate audiences and separate reporting for each, so neither location borrowed budget or attention from the other.

04

A website and booking funnel in their own brand

A new site built for both locations, and a custom party booking funnel on their own domain and in their own design, so the brand runs all the way from the ad to the deposit instead of handing guests off to a generic third-party form.

The end result.

What came next.

Both locations running, the partnership in its seventh year, and a marketing system that grows with the business instead of restarting every time something changes. GLO Mini Golf remains an active Swimm Social client today.
