Who we are

Swimm Social is a marketing agency owned and operated by Sidney Swenson, based in Orange County, California. We build and run marketing for other businesses, and this website is how prospective clients learn about that work. This policy explains what information this site collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email sidney@swimmsocial.com and you will get a straight answer from the owner.

What this policy covers

This policy covers swimmsocial.com and the pages on it. It does not cover the websites of our clients, the platforms we advertise on, or sites we link to. It also does not replace the written agreements we sign with clients, which govern how we handle client data inside an engagement.

Information you choose to give us

This site has no accounts, no logins, and no forms that store your information on our servers. When you reach out, you do it by email, and we receive whatever you decide to include: typically your name, your business name, your contact details, and whatever you tell us about your marketing. We keep that correspondence so we can reply, prepare for calls, and maintain the relationship over time. If you ask for a free growth plan, anything you share for it, such as your website address or advertising account access, is used only to prepare that plan and advise you.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site may use analytics and advertising measurement tools that collect standard technical information when you visit: the pages you view, how you arrived, how long you stay, your device and browser type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. This data is aggregated and does not tell us who you are by name.

The specific tools we use

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and advertising pixels such as the Meta pixel and comparable tags from Google or other ad platforms to measure our own marketing campaigns and to build advertising audiences. These tools are provided by third parties, set their own cookies, and process data under their own privacy policies. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage ad personalization in your Facebook, Instagram and Google ad settings.

Cookies on this site exist for the analytics and advertising purposes described above. We do not use cookies to sell your information, and this site works fine if you block them. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

How we use information

We use the information described here to respond to you, to prepare honest recommendations about your marketing, to understand which parts of this site are useful, and to measure whether our own advertising is working. We do not use your information for anything unrelated to running Swimm Social.

What we share, and what we never do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Information may pass through the service providers every business relies on, such as email hosting, analytics and advertising platforms, strictly so those services can function. We may disclose information if the law genuinely requires it. That is the whole list.

How long we keep things

Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for the relationship, since clients often return years later. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the settings of those platforms, typically between 2 and 26 months. You can ask us to delete correspondence at any time.

Security

Our systems run on reputable providers with standard protections, and access is limited to the people who need it, which at Swimm Social is a very short list. No website can promise perfect security, but we treat your information the way we would want ours treated.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them, and we extend the same courtesy to everyone regardless of state. Because this site collects so little, most requests are handled the same day. Email sidney@swimmsocial.com and we will confirm what we found and what we did. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals where the tools we use support them.

Children

This site is for business owners and marketing leads. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

This site links to client websites, case study material, social platforms and booking tools. Once you leave swimmsocial.com, the privacy practices of those sites are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects how your information is handled, we will say so plainly rather than bury it.
